Chris’ diverse range of investment and consulting experience in areas like data, entertainment and real estate form his limitless view of the connected tech world. At Comcast Ventures, he focuses on marketplaces, data and real estate fintech. Prior, he worked at Siemer & Associates where he focused on transactions across the digital media, data, software and analytics landscape. He has independently consulted with a variety of startups in the technology and entertainment space. Chris spent his early career working at IMT Capital, a real estate private equity fund, where he held a leadership role. He sits on the Workforce Investment Board for the state of California. He received his B.A. in history from Yale. Chris is based in Santa Monica.

Course Description:

Corporate venture capital (CVC) has gone through a lot of changes in the 20 years since Comcast kicked off its investing arm, Comcast Ventures. The crowded venture landscape is getting even more packed with CVC players entering the fray and continued misinformation about what CVCs do and when and why they do it. Chris Hill gives a lay of the land and what new competition amongst investors means for entrepreneurs today.
